Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks
If you are going to work as a paid employee or as a volunteer for an organisation and your work will bring you into contact with children or vulnerable adults, you may be asked to apply for a CRB check. You cannot apply for a CRB check on yourself and parents who employ soemone to look after their children cannot apply for a CRB check unless it is through an agency which will carry out the check.

TAVYCO
Tameside Association of Voluntary Youth and Community Organisations (TAVYCO) is registered with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) as an umbrella body, which means that it is permitted to administer Enhanced CRB Disclosure Checks for both employees and volunteers. It works with organisations based in Tameside and the surrounding areas including Greater Manchester and Glossop.
