Gorton Gateway is an employment project funded by the North West Development Agency via New East Manchester to assist anybody of working age, including migrant workers, wishing to (re)enter the labour market.

They can provide help with:

Putting together CVs

Assistance with job search

Help with filling in job application forms

Free access to internet, phones, photocopying and faxing

Hints and tips for interviews

and access to an extensive list of other useful agencies and organisations.

The project covers the East of Manchester and is completely free.

Help to get a job from Unite, Salford
The Transport and General Workers section of Unite can provide a number of facilities to help you to get a job in the UK. This includes

Writing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) which is a list of your education, skills and jobs,

Letter writing - to companies, for example, to see if they have job vacancies,

Form filling - including job applications

Job Search - helping you to look for vacancies

College search for courses including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Computer and IT facilities,

Impartial Advice, Information and Guidance

One to one interview or group interview on any of the above.
